Ali Welburn is an accomplished arts management and communications specialist with more than 25 years’ experience across Australia’s cultural sector. Working predominantly in the performing arts, she has led strategic marketing, publicity and sponsorship initiatives for a wide range of respected organisations, including Black Swan Theatre Company, Theatre 180, ABC Radio, Perth Theatre Company, Barking Gecko Theatre Company, UWA Publishing and the WA Cricket Association.

With strategic thinking and collaborative approach, Ali has supported companies from inception through to national and international touring, building audiences, strengthening brand profiles and delivering impactful projects that connect artists with communities. Her work spans theatre, literature, broadcasting, visual arts, dance and festivals.

In 2011, Ali founded Limelight Consulting, a bespoke arts management and producing consultancy through which she maintains a portfolio of long-term clients. In 2019, she co-founded the Perth International Cabaret Festival, Perth’s inaugural cabaret festival, presented at His Majesty's Theatre and running through to 2025.

Ali is passionate about championing bold and unusual storytelling and ensuring that emerging, independent and major arts organisations alike are positioned for visibility and sustainability. She continues to work closely with artists, producers and boards to shape compelling narratives that resonate locally and nationally.
